Kyle Ahlbin

Founder/Principal

Kyle grew up in Sandy, OR where he got his first job working for a general contractor, remodeling apartment buildings. After High School, he joined the US Navy and served 5 years repairing and maintaining aircraft electrical systems at NAS Whidbey Island, WA. He deployed to Iraq, Kuwait, and the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier before separating from the Navy in 2012.

After starting a family and completing his military service, Kyle received an associate’s degree from Clackamas Community College and studied engineering and business management at Portland State University. He worked full-time in various sales and labor jobs during that time to make ends meet. After 2 years of working as an Engineering Technician for a large semiconductor company, Kyle decided to get away from factory work and enrolled in the Helmets to Hardhats program to continue his career in construction.

Working his way up from an apprentice carpenter to lead carpenter, to jobsite superintendent, to project manager, Kyle has developed a high standard of quality and a dedication to customer service. Becoming first licensed in 2018, Kyle progressed from small side jobs and handyman work to providing full-service design/build remodels to his clients. During that time, he developed a diverse skillset through a broad range of conditions and building materials.

In 2022, he and Luke entered into a partnership and formed OC Hills Construction to combine their talents and provide the best possible experience and final product to their customers.
